The Birth Haven seeks to bring resources to our community in a variety of ways including scholarships, diaper drives, and education. Our clients and community contribute as well as a portion of proceeds from services rendered at The Birth Haven go into this fund. Each year families in our region are cared for based on need. You can also visit our Non-Profit, Kentucky Doulas!
47% (almost half) of families reported diaper need in 2023.
Families with diaper need reported more instances of unmet health needs; stress and anxiety; limitations on free time and social contact; and barriers to work.
More than a quarter of respondents (28%) who reported diaper need said that they skipped meals so that they could afford more diapers.
1 in 4 (25%) of parents and caregivers with diaper need reported having to miss work or school because they did not have enough diapers to drop their child off at childcare,

There are several ways to help babies in need! Since 2017 we’ve donated diapers to various non profits in the Bluegrass to ensure the smallest citizens of Kentucky have a dry bottom and have always surpassed goals due to your generosity! Click the links below to donate dollars for diapers in any amount or to purchase from our Amazon diaper registry. If you would prefer to buy diapers elsewhere or have partially opened packages, please visit any of our area drop off locations in Lexington! The drive will begin 11/27 and finish 12/11. We thank you in advance for your generous spirit and compassion for our smallest residents of the Bluegrass.
